A question about Pentacon Lenses

    HI,

I like some others here have a strange (sad ??)_weakness for the Praktica brand, and have amassed quite a collection, now I have two Prakticar (B mount) 50mm 1.8 lenses, both are marked as Pentacon Prakticar 50mm F1.8, but one is somewhat larger than the other, and the coating seems different.

I would like to understand why they are different, does anyone know ?

    Thanks

    Rich

Oi! you watch it! Sad, indeed.

    Have a look here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/758023047609313/?ref=bookmarks.

Possibly one is a later Romanian one, according to the chat in the link.

ps according to this: http://praktica.planetaclix.pt/lenses.html the Romanians made a 2.4.

It may be that you have a later model plastic bodied lens.
