Having just seen a photo of Richard Attenborough at the BBC microphone in 1947 (on FB), it struck me I have a photo of me in 1947 too - and I was probably hearing Attenborough on the radio, since my dad was radio mad.

Any of you got one in that year too?

It's a tad before my time too.

Can you still 'see' yourself in that photo?

Before my time (and my mother's!), and I doubt my father has a photo as they wouldn't have had access to a camera.

Great to see someone else's pictures from that time.
I managed to get a few in my possession. My brother has the remainder.
In the main it was my uncle who took the majority of family photos on his war time or just post Leica! Wish I had that now. He knew I wanted it, but after he died, it disappeared, mysteriously.
    Such is life.

The earliest I have (and for which I know a date) is 1954, my mother's sisters.

Oh Tony! The sandals - I loved them.
They are lovely! Looking very happy.

Thanks for showing me this one.

Oh I was much photographed that year, with my Gran's Kodak box camera. Here with parents, Gran and Great Gran in May/June.
Had to wait for another arrival 18 months later before it came out again. I had the telegraph pole surgically removed somewhat later.

Your mother was lovely! Allso great to have four generations in a shot! Best I could do was with my grandmother.
    Great memories.
My dad had the Box Brownie, which I inherited for a time when I was at home. :)

She was much better than here. I have a studio shot of her somewhere.
Ah here. Original unretouched. It comes up well in PS.

I wasn't much older in this one - but I was definitely messier!

Hey Mike! very handsome. Glad you've still got these photos and have shared them. Nice to see someone older than me. ;)

    Me, aged 1, 1954.

There is an old picture of my grandmother in her WRAC uniform in 1918, but it's actually on an official military history site somewhere. The oldest picture of a family member I know of.
