I've been looking at the S5 recently, primarily because of its low price. I need a camera that can do a bit of everything, including landscape. I thought the high DR would come in handy there. I read a lot of reviews and the over-riding impression I came away with is that colours and DR are superb but resolution and image softness leave a lot to be desired. I came to the conclusion that the S5 didn't fit my needs despite its very good price.
