Quote: I can't see myself buying another APS-C sensor sized DSLR. I'm more than happy enough with what I have to wait until it goes the way of other electrical goods and stops working. The scary thing is - is it worth buying APS-C/DX type lenses knowing that they'll be great for as long as the body still works, or better to hold off for a 'proper' lens.
The 40D is my first and last APS-C sized DSLR. I am very happy with it...I think it's a fantastic camera...but because I am so happy with it, I have no reason to get the 50D or whatever is next.
Nope, I'd rather just get some good glass, be happy shooting with what I've got, and then one day buy a full-frame camera...mainly because I value the wide end more than the long end and what with noise levels improving all the time, I can only imaging that the performance of the future FF models will be fantastic...
Which is why I don't plan on buying any more EF-S lenses. I bought the Tamron 17-50mm as a price compromise...but as I will eventually go full frame, I wont be buying any more (despite it being very good!).
