I was under the impression that there were only three ways a zoom ring could "twist" - clockwise, anticlockwise & in-out (like a trombone) - and I've seen all three ways on cameras other than Olympus. Canon & Nikon twist rings go different ways round just be be awkward, after all, can't encourage people to defect to the opposition, can we?
