It might unbalance the walking pole a bit but I'm sure you could leave a small tilt head (why pan as well with a monopod?) like the Manfrotto 234 attached to the top. If it does unbalance the pole too much, leave the heat attached to the camera while walking and swap it with the knob when you want to take a pic.


(ETA - You might need a 3/8" to 1/4" adaptor - can't remember if the 234 comes with one.)
