Welcome.

One other point ... use Picassa if you're happy with it but remember - don't edit the original .jpg files but keep these as your 'digital negatives'. If you make changes to these and later change your mind you will have no fallback option. Make a copy of the original files and make all your edits to these and then, preferably, save your changes as .tif files (if Picassa allows it). TIF files are compressed LOSSLESSLY and repeated editing and saving will not lose image data.
