I can assure you it really was just as cold as it looks in the photo. The Mamiya has a cast alloy film back, and my breath was literally freezing on the metal.
It had been a very bright, sunny afternoon, which felt reasonably warm in the sun (well, as warm as - 2 °C ever can feel), but the moment the sun went down we felt as if we were being frozen alive - it just got so cold so quickly.
Looking at your Frozen Stream I guess you would have a similar story? I am not a great fan of B&W, but yours is an excellent shot, which gives a very cold and desolate feel.
