As per todays news anouncement. I am not sure how Leica see the M8 given the issues that have arisen since it's launch and maybe, just maybe it is going to follow the DMR into obscurity despite the comments (below)regarding long term upgrade pathways. Every camera on launch is the greatest thing since sliced bread and promises abound regarding capability and long term support. Few of these promises are met. However, should the comments regarding a full frame rangefinder come to fruition then perhaps Leica will have at last a machine to which all (or nearly all) the promises apply. For the sake of history, quality and that genuine feel for photographers needs that Leica have displayed more than most I hope it arrives, I hope it comes in at a price under that of the 1DS 111 and I hope it is the success that they desperately need.
