Basically.

Unless of course the commercial printer will only print at a different resolution... for example 240dpi then you end up with a 7.5x7.5" picture

Best thing to do is ask the printer what dpi they require and then send them the files as they want them.

I tend to send all my images at 300dpi and tell the commercial printer what size to print them.
