One of my friend's sons, now a lecturer in a US university, has just posted this comment on Facebook:

When I am bored I send a text to a random number saying "I've disposed of the body as you told me to ... Now what ?"

Much the same sense of humour as me. Have to be careful nowadays with the thought police.

Reminds me of the letter Arthur Conan Doyle is reputed to have sent, anonymously, to five of his friends: "We are discovered. Flee at once."

One of the friends, the story goes, disappeared never to be seen again.
