Taryn, I don't know how thought out and arranged this one but it is a wonderful piece of 'art-work'. The cauliflower ears are simply inspired. Beautiful.
Mike.
That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?
Thanks Mike.It did take me a while to put it together and the front room did look like a greengrocers by the time I had finished but it was good fun, even if my other half thought I was a bit barmy.

At this stage, its clear, he is no longer focussed on clearing the backlog!
Rumour has it he is up country, driving around in a diesel powered behomoth, with a group of individuals who pay homage to the sun at rising and setting (or is that the "light").
Is it possible, we, the "virtual" brethern, have been abandoned for the corporeal? Time (Monday) will tell :-)

I would. I really really would. I've seen what the work load can do to two of the AP Editors and their free time.
When GCW was Editor I don't think he got a day off in year I knew him as Editor. Gawd knows how many DD has been able to have since taking over. The same is true for some of the other AP Staff (and WDC Staff)

Last time I checked, cloning a fully functional human is only possible in SciFi realms. For the real world, we have the word 'delegate' (though few 'chiefs' of any kind I met - and I've met quite a few... - really know the meaning of it!). Really, in this day and age a forum competition does not have to depend on a single person's free time (hey, on RedBubble anybody can vote, and after the set voting period the winner is automatically displayed - a group host can spend as little as 5mins every now and then just to set up the challenge).
The chief editor of the oldest photo magazine in the world does not have to be the only judge, and for every single month - there are obviously months where his presence is absolutely required in other places, so at least for those months he could hand this task to others.
Also, in today's 'instant' world, it's a bit strange to have to wait 2-3 months to find out the results of a forum competition. (I'm coming back to the 'forum competition' because in the grand scheme of things it's a bit more informal than a yearly competition, so I'd expect the timescales to be shorter.)
As they say, just my 2p :-)
personally, I think the unknown time scale adds to the charm (or quirks) of the forum.
And for, being judged by the grand tharg of the best photography magazine is also part of the fun and I for one am happy for him to do when time allows.

Learn from the mistakes of others, life isn't nearly long enough to make them all yourself!
Hey-Ho!
You enjoy it then, Tony. I'm sure your words will be appreciated - if they are read, that is.
I have to say, though, that Themis makes some very valid points. When I was being paid to work, I always knew the validity of the phrase "if you want something done, give it to a busy person". I was also aware of the importance of delegation.![]()
