Oh the wind's still blowing Nick, just in a different direction!

Lovely down here between the torrential showers.

As any parent of school children will tell you, as soon as school re-starts after the summer break the weather takes a turn for the better.

That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?

I hate these controversial "weatherist" posts........they're only designed to fan the flames of hatred and bigotry what with one man claiming it's pis*ing in scunthorpe and another saying it's gorgeous in glasgow.........me, I'm staying well out of it because i happen to think that one man's weather is very personal and that anyone who believes anything the met office tells you is probably deeply misguided anyway!

    Re: Nice weather ...

I do miss the winds ( see my previous posts on loving wind & rain), but I have nipped out to do photography & some night photography. But I'm challenged because I have to wideangle lens at the moment. But still, lovely sunsets and cityscapes.

September is traditionally a good month for good weather. I'm off on hold in a week, so I can finally relax! ( And hope it's windy).

That wouldn't surprise me at all. A change of direction might be just what we need right now.

Yes, a storm doesn't last all day.

Does anyone like the electronic band "underworld" here?

I'd settle for that. Anything'd be better than it pi$$in' on the parade just because it can.

Perhaps the sun will have it's hat on for a while.

Yippe! Fen is an Underworld fan! Well ( and I do sound like a teenager here) they have a new album out, which I think is rather good! Very good it is too. Love em.

I can see the sky over the Met office from where I'm sitting - clear and blue. Chances are that they reckon it's persisting down on them ATM.

Let's hope so - better that than a massive storm, for sure.
