My shot was taken through a wine glass to make it a little bit more interesting I love those new lens baby lenses, but can't afford to get one right now.The glass gave it a cool blurred effect

I know what you mean...I just focus manually to get the same effect....

All I can surmise, Maris, is that on your side of the pond the wine is less potent than on this side, else my shots through wine glasses are merely always well out of focus - rather like my vision. Chateau Neuf du Pappy, mty dear?

That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?

    Re: Comp entries

Lot's of good entries, but I keep coming back to Adam Charles' and laughing my behind off! Love it and it's a definite contender. As well as LeeJ's, I really love the framing and focus of the photo and I also think it's a winner... beautiful and intringuing. But the reason that I would be a bad judge is that I like to laugh and I would be very tempted to choose Adam's regardless of any advantages of the competition. I also like Nigel's very much.
