    Canon D30

I have dug this out a cupboard. Canon EOS D30 is the marking on the outside . Is this the same as the 30D. Advice please.

As Fen says a much earlier model.

It's a bit slow on start-up and can be a bit noisy at ISO800 and above - although the NR options in Adobe Camera RAW or the latest Canon DigitalPhotoPro can deal with this quite effectively.

I've got one and still use it quite regularly... A fair few shots in my gallery come from it.

Spooky- I am sat looking at one on my desk which arrived earlier...

An Ebay purchase which was mainly for the Ca-PS400 double charger and mains adapter that they came with and the Canon batteries.

It will also be put to use where I need a DSLR but don't want to take an expensive one-eg hanging off a scaffold to take pics of a roof.

Does have a few minor bits missing like the remote socket cover, eye cup, body cap and manual, but since I have spares of these and have down loaded the manual, it's not a problem.

I must try and find another source of remote covers as I think this might have been my last spare -My 3 tended to lose them regularly.
