    opinions on this would be appreciated

    Simply enjoy photography
    Take more crap than good pics but the good ones make me feel good

    Or possibly not, as the case may be. What am I looking at, the plane or the building? They are not linked in any way, thematically or visually. They are two different shots.

    there was me thinking the building added a bit more than just just a plane in the air

    Nope. The one detracts from the other. If the plane was lower and the building larger in the frame, perhaps there's a juxtaposition. But as it is, it is hard to see how they fit together.
    Plane is average size not an overbearing monster. Building is burned out down the side.... sorry. Give me a windmill and I get landing in Holland perhaps....

    My immediate thought on seeing this image was " ancient and modern ", as it shows this idea well. A little bit of cloning round the old building to remove the wire and the chimney/vent, then maybe darken the whole pic, mainly to get a deeper blue sky, and it would tell quite a story.
    Slow and not necessarily sure

    I have to say that the shot works quite well for me.

    I like the idea of plane landing over the old building although I must admit the right side of the building is burnt out.

    There is an element I enjoy here
