    I've shot some film, and the quality is amazing, but I've been waiting for this update for a couple of ideas.

    It would be interesting to hear from 5DII users who have utilised the Movie function; I know that I haven't.
    I've used it but not extensively. I wish I had had the 5D2 with me recently when in Grenada at an incredible live jazz performance. I used a Panasonic GF1 with a nice Voigtlander lens but the video performance was certainly nothing special.

    I have used the movie functions a fair bit, the biggest downside over a video camera is how much space it eats on your memory cards.

    I find the biggest downside being the sound of the autofocus being louder than anything else recorded even with USM L lenses
