Pentax Lens repaired

I recently took a tumble in the snow and bashed my Pentax FA 50mm f/1.7 lens, jamming the focus ring. Last Wednesday I sent it to Asahi Photo Limited in Brentford, Middsx for an estimate. They phoned me on Saturday to confirm that it was repairable and quoted £40+VAT. I got it back this morning in pristine condition. Very nice people to do business with, polite over the phone and true to thier word on delivery.

Nice to know that there is still good service to be had.

Hi David, I am pleased Pentax repaired your lens so quickly and at a reasonable price. It is good to see posts when things go well, so often people only post when they have an axe to grind.

I had bruises in places I didn't know existed, but all seems to be well now. Falling over at my tender age is not to be recommended!
