    website for selling?

I am hoping to set up a pet photography business in the near future and am looking for a website/webhosting company that I can sell my photos through.

Website set up wouldn't be a problem but I think that after the basic Info, Gallery and Contact pages, sales pages would be a bit more complicated! I know Photobox do a Pro site that you can link to - you set the prices and they sort the order out from printing to posting out to customer. Of course they charge a commission. Has anyone used this service?

Or does anyone know of a good web hosting site I could use to have my info and sales pages in one place. Customer log in would be advantageous so that only customers can see their own photos.

    Any advice would be grateful.
    Thanks!

I occasionally use the Photobox Pro option for selling photos. Never really used it to hard sell my stuff though.

The problem you'll find is that unless you write the whole thing yourself you'll have to pay either a monthly fee for somewhere that offers a gallery/sales option or a percentage on sales.

If you have your own domain and hosting you could set yourself up an OSCommerce back-end and adapt this to your own needs - OSCommerce (and ZenCart) are free php based shopping carts that integrate into Paypal as a money collecting method

They do take a bit of setting up but are free with no fees except Paypal fees, even then you can arrange to take cheques and postal orders instead
