In photoshop for the first time. The background texture was free from calebkimbrough - some great stuff well worth a look at.

Always in search of that magic moment.
Something niggles me about this...
Firstly, the background... don't like it at all. Sorry it's more of a distraction than anything else.
The other thing is down to an old 'club saying' that an odd number of objects is more appealing to the eye than an even number of objects. Perhaps it's that... it just seems to busy to me.

Ummm....not sure the background is helping. Plain black might be better. Trying here to bring the flowers forward a bit, but don't know if you like the flatness of the original?

thanks FEn - wife would not let me cut the 4th flower head off - mothers day bunch from one of the daughters.
Background does seem ott looking at it here, but was very light when I did it on my monitor, it could only just be seen.
Must go back and see if I saved it correctly - wouldn't be the first time I screwed that bit up.

I like the way you have emphasised the detail of the ( Tiger?) Lilies and the background seems to be pretty neutral, so the flowers are well presented. They seem to be floating serenely in the clouds and in that context, the stalk seems to anchor them rather and spoil the illusion! Only a minor point and I quite understand that s.w.m.b.o wouln't want you performing surgery on her flowers
Attractive image. ( second version even better - really in the clouds!)
