I can't put my finger on exactly what I dislike about this. Can somebody help?

may be
to much of the tree..maybe just one twig with the socks hung on
possibly the biggest problem the fence not being to the edge of the frame
Simply enjoy photography
Take more crap than good pics but the good ones make me feel good
No more than an amateur so feel free to ignore anything i say
I think perhaps the question should be "I can't put my finger on exactly anything I like about this."....................let's face it, it's a nothing shot. A pair of gaudy socks hanging on a bush...........................so what's to like about it? Asthetically or otherwise it's a complete waste of time. Don't beat yourself up trying to find out what single element annoys you about this, the short answer is "everything"

I'm sailing like a driftwood on a windy bay.
hmmm
it's a pair of socks.
Vertical linw down left hand side.
Socks face different directions.
Pegs are different........
Does not do much for me, sorry

Always in search of that magic moment.
No reason in principle why ridiculous socks shouldn't be part of a picture, but you'd have to define the role they were playing and the possibilities are few: as a zany counterpoint to an un-zany scene is my best guess.
Couple of oldies sharing a nice cup of tea in their garden, surrounded by the symbols of aging middle-class ease....and they are on a line somewhere just wide of a third?
Just trying to be positive.![]()
What Mike said, and also it looks OTT, over done in PS or whatever. The socks look fake, pasted on, I dont know if its just the oversharpening or what. Its also too saturated all over, the socks should stand out but as the whole pic is overcooked they just look fake. I think the white area on the left doesnt help this either.
