Beautiful portraits. i cannot see how anybody could improve on them![]()
For me the first is a bit too tight a crop, plus the eyes are almost completely shaded, although the smile is great.
Like the second more.
Cheers MIKE

Definitely *not* on Facebook or Twitter!
Nor sending from an iPhone or iPad!
I like the rough and tumble expression on the first one but its too tight a crop and you lose a lot of the brilliant face but have too much forehead.
The second is better, also a lovely expression although again I'd say it's too tight round her head bottom left, with excess uninteresting space top right. Lovely pic otherwise!

Totally disagree with the comments on the first images' crop. I think it makes the photo.
Most excellent

That is not a pudding basin haircut is it

You could crop this one even more and it would still look stunning![]()
My honest opinion is that both of these images are quite wonderful. Relaxed and timeless. Great stuff.
1st one - for me lacks some appeal due to the hidden/dark eyes, with a bit more detail in t6his area, stunner.
2nd - test - is it one I would like to have taken - answer = yes.

Always in search of that magic moment.
like both..........but no2 is my fav, great shot![]()
Simply enjoy photography
Take more crap than good pics but the good ones make me feel good
No more than an amateur so feel free to ignore anything i say
I think the crop on the first one is inspired, it gives the extra charm of her peeping at you through the frame.

I love the unusual framing in both shots. They just go to show that rules are there to be broken!
As has been mentioned I'd like more light in the eyes in no.e either in post or preferably a bit of fill-in flash.
No2 is a bit too bright top right.
Great stuff![]()
Phil, what rules?
Yes, love the pictures.
The tight crop and broken rules were intentional and by the comments i think it has worked.
Thanks everyone for your comments.
