I vaguely remember reading somewhere about a camera setting to identify the image in the EXIF with the photographers identity.Thus affording some form of image protection.
Anyone know if this exists and how to set it on a 50D, or was I just dreaming again.

On a 5D it can be set using EOS utility (I am reasonably sure. I have set it but can't quite remember how. The camera needs to be connected for the options to show and I haven't got it with me to test). Curiously this information (owners name, serial number) does not seem to show in the file properties dialogue in windows explorer - the fields are blank - but in DPP the full exif data is there.
