    reciprocity law

Does reciprocity law failure apply with digital photography in low-light situations? It does with colour slides and negative film. I used to have a card device that worked like a slide rule to tell me by how much I would need to increase exposure in order to get true colour rendition. Like many other things in ln life, it has disappeared. Asking questions like this makes me wonder why I turned to digital cameras at my age.

I really think that this is a problem that has been left behind, digital sensors dont have the same problems as film in this area.
    So carry on regardless....

No reciprocity failure. This is the precise reason why astronomers were early adopters of digital imaging.

A thread in the last week rather suggested that there might be a sort of reciprocity failure with digital cameras. See Digital Capture - Using 2 ND filters stacked gave red colour

Sorry, that's infra red leaking through dye-in-glass filters ... a well known issue.
