Surely this bit "Again these issues will be subject to public consultation later in the year." ought to have been done prior to sending the Bill to the Lords?
If this is mirroring the US act, IIRC one of the issues was that a dilgent search was to contact a 'database'...but photographers had to pay to get their work on the database, something many of us cannot afford to do.
Not only that, but in the "interests of a healthy commercial environment" or whatever line they pick from the hat, there were to be many different registration companies. Though it was expected that certain companies might cater toward certain kinds of work the end result would be that a company could search through several and not find the one that your print is registered in.
Even a working professional would be hard pressed to start having to register copyrite (at cost) in several different company archives and its almost a no go area for amateurs
