This was the most revolting aspect of the story for me. What a bunch of losers. Why she wants anything to do with them is beyond me

Meanwhile, Middleton is reported to have been banned from pursuing a career as a photographer, according to the Daily Star newspaper.

Poor lass. Everyone whinges about the position of being or potentaly being a royal having great privilage (like going over to NY to understudy the great photogs) but this is a prime example of just how restrained their lives are. Whats the point in having the privilage if one can't enjoy it?

True in technicality but i'm sure in practice anyone born into that kind of circle would have a hard time fitting in anywhere else. They could try but once out i don't think there would be any way back in if it all went wrong.

Then that's the choice and they have to live with the consequences they've chosen.

True, I cannot understand why anyone thinks its worth it mind you.

I'm not sure why they thought being a tog was such a sleazy job either. As the article pointed out there are precedents

Perhaps, despite our investigative journalists' best efforts, we still have lots to learn about the Royal precedents? Could be some dirty linen waiting to be found?

Could be. Maybe, instead of moving with the times, their advisors are too obsesses with spin as the politicians and anything remotely associated with potential bad press is suspect.

This is disgusting - if it was good enough for Lord Snowdon to continue being a photographer in the 1960s, what is wrong with being one nowadays, when we are supposed to be more enlightened. SICKENING!

Our present queen has been photographed wielding a camera on occasions. A Leica no less. She also remembered to remove the lens cap.

There's probably a designated servant for removal of the Royal lens cap. Or if they're economising (yeah, sure) the task can be done by the one who's otherwise used for breaking the tops of the Royal boiled eggs.

She wouldn't be the first camera wielding queen - Queen Alexandra (Queen Consort to Edward VII) was also well known as a photographer.

Well considering that anyone with a camera in the UK, is ether a terrorist, or a pedophile, it is not surprising that they do not find it appropriate!
