Any of you brave souls do your own sensor cleaning. Any recommendations on kit ? Do you need to take valium first ?

    10D, 30D, 5d & 1D Mk III. I've only ever used a blower, and rarely at that.
I find the large Giottos rocket blower is best. I'm wary of using any fluids in case there's trace contaminants which show up when the solvent has evaporated. (I rarely use apertures smaller than f11 which does help...)

I mainly use a Giottos rocket blower to clear anything away. But for persistent stuff I use VisibleDust fluids and swabs.

It's a lot easier than some people think.

I used to use a blower but then purchased a 30D a couple of years ago that had some ingrained dust motes that just wouldn't come out. I ended up getting one of those lenspen sensorklear loupes and pen while on a trip and have never looked back.

I must say that I was very hesitant about using at first but it works a treat and have no issues whatsoever.
Just about the best money I've spent as it saved me a tonne of time in photoshop.

Dishwasher method didn't work too good last time I tried it
