NASA were going to use the 645D on the next proposed moon landings in 2018. However as it's unlikely to be ready by then it will probably go to Mars instead.

Ah, so that's the real reason Obama cancelled the programme!

In short, the new model's sensor is 1.7x larger than 35mm full frame, and the files will be 100MB in size.

    In short
I'll take your word for it! The only japanese words I recognise are kohi and yama (coffee and mountain) so I had no chance.

Will they part-ex my Bronica and I pay an extra £500?
    Thought not!
In all seriousness do we know the MP count on the 645D? I have heard 30MP, but it will need to be a lot cheaper than the Hasselblads of this world.
Would I buy one? If I had the money, yes for the photos I take it would be great.

    Re: 645D - Countdown!

Latest news is that it is a 40MP sensor. Word is it's the same unit as in the Leica S2 but 4:3 in the 645 tradition, not 3:2 in the Leica tradition.

Previously it has been confirmed that it has dual SD/SDHC slots.

Hmm, 44x33mm, same as the H4D. Should make for an interesting comparison.
