I'm gobsmacked. I think I'll take up knitting.
I didn't understand any of that apart from the words 'shutter' 'flash' compur' and 'D200' - although obviously I know what an insect is.......
A lot easier to wait for the darned thing to land!

The fact that he's also willing to share his expertise, deserves a medal. I also notice that this posting is probably pre-2009, (see comments at bottom of page) so what level of sophistication does he employ now?!!

Find somewhere with loads of flowers on a nice day and press the shutter button with your finger as the subject comes into land. Sometimes they hover in (roughly) the same spot for a whileBut where are the instructions![]()
