    Remote shutter release (E.Bay)

Has anyone tried one of these?

Have just got one, and it might just be me, but I can't get it to work! Any hints or comments?

I got a similar one from ebay, there was a little see through plastic strip that had to be removed from the battery. I know its silly but you did tell the camera that you were using a remote?

On the 410, left hand side on top of the body there is a button which opens up the shooting options, you may have already used it to change from single to burst shooting. The options include remote zero, 2 and 12 second delay. You also have to point the remote at the front of the camera, (I find that it works best from the right and keeps out of shot)at the red plastic insert, for it to see the remote at all.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, Mark, appreciated. I've had the camera for months but am still learning what does what! Over the moon with the camera but still have much to learn.

Had already followed the instruction book but failed to get it right. Have just followed your advice and it worked a treat. Biggest problem now will be not loosing the trigger, so blessed small!
