    PENTAX PROBLEMS

I have a pentax optio s10 when i take pictures the areas where the light bits should be shows as pink?
where reflection is normally or light areas it shows as pink on the screen and indeed when saved to card. I believe the camera was taken out in the snow and may have got damp. i have had it in front of fire and had hairdryer on it but no joy?what sort of damage could have been done?
    * the AWB item is "greyed out" on the menu. I have reset the camera to default. Looking at the manual it does say you can change the whiteness by using the right hand button however that does not seem to work..odd. there must be a way to adjust this as per manual..i might take it into shop for a quick look however i am not working at the moment and cant afford a new one..(before anyone says bin it!)
    any ideas?

Hi Mario - welcome to the forum.

Could you post a picture? It makes diagnosing problems easier.

Do the images look pink on your computer monitor, or just on the back screen on the camera. In other words, is it the camera display that is faulty or the settings that are wrong?

I suspect that you may have set something in error - for example, maybe a highlight overexposure warning? I would reset to factory defaults and start again. There may be a menu setting to do this.

Failing that, you could thoroughly check each menu option to see what might have been done.

    Hi

yes I will upload a picture here. Sadly it also shows up as pink on the pc. I have reset the camera to default to no avail. the AWB function is greyed out which I find a bit odd.I did dowload the manual from the Pentax site but it wasnt much use.

to clarify where you would normally see a reflection that area is pink. Ive just purchased the camera from ebay as it was described as a slight fault. I hope its not nothing more than a setting.
