A3 Lab printing recomendations

Hi
i have an opportunity to exhibit and sell some of my digital prints in a local gallery, however i only have an A4 printer and not wanting to splash out on a A3 printer just yet. I was looking to get some A3 prints done at an online lab. can anyone recomend a lab they have experience of using. They must be good enough quality for sales and a good life expectancy.

I can recommend Colorworld Imaging based up in Newcastle.

Had a couple of A3's done by them and they are very nice

I had a winning image from a forum competition (not this forum) printed as my prize by ProPrintStudio Excellent quality genuine photographic print, not and inkjet print.

Royal Mail did their level best to destroy it though. They had let the packet get damp so the protective film used to protect the print actually stuck to the surface and when I peeled it away it left a residue on the print. A quick wash under the tap with cold water and soft cloth removed the residue and the print dried out a treat

Bad news i'm afraid.
I tired photobox but the prints were not to the quality i was looking for. They were fine if you just required large prints on bog standard photo paper, however i require prints to be on Fine art textured paper for showing in a gallery. I have contact all the other labs you guys have recommend and none of them offer the paper i require.the only diference you can stipulate is matt or gloss.
I would be grateful if anyone could shed a little light on this subject of getting online prints made on high quality paper.

Youre not going to get specialist quality on the High St, you'd need to go to a pro lab such as Metro and it will cost you. (about £50 for an A3)

I dont know how many youre planning to print, but personally at that price I would just buy the printer, I know you dont want to, but the only alternative I can think of is to get very friendly with a local lab and see if you can convince them to get the relevant paper in, or buy the paper and find a lab who will use it for you instead of their usual paper.

It is going to cost £££ at a fine art lab.

The Museo Portfolio Rag is a very nice Fine Art paper. Not cheap, but fine art printing will never be cheap.

That is an extremely good price if they are reliable. Metro's Hahnemuhle Photo Rag is £50, so £11 is a bargain.
