Sounds very nice althought I'm sceptical about the completely round aperture with 8 blades claim. I've seen macro lenses with 12 blades that don't claim completely round.
Or maybe completely round is different to perfectly circular in marketing speak....
...I might have to keep an eye out for reviews and such to find out![]()

A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
So has Pentax gone back to Imperial measurement then? 153mm = 6". Classic aerial mapping lenses were 6", so Wild made 153mm lenses for their RC8 and RC10 cameras. The 100mm Pentax-D FA Macro f/2.8 WR is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 153mm lens when used on a DSLR with an APS-C size imaging sensor.
I think this can be achieved (or very nearly) if the blades themselves have a curve.Sounds very nice althought I'm sceptical about the completely round aperture with 8 blades claim. I've seen macro lenses with 12 blades that don't claim completely round.

It's round like a ball. And anyway, until 11pm it doesn't exist anyway. I've no idea what are you talking about?Sounds very nice althought I'm sceptical about the completely round aperture with 8 blades claim. I've seen macro lenses with 12 blades that don't claim completely round.
