Missed a Dynax 7 at a ridiculous price...

I went to check my Ebay watched items, expecting to find that the Dynax 7 WITH VC-7 GRIP, was gone for some sum of money I couldn't spare right now, and to my surprise it wasn't sold, I could have had it for £1.00 plus £7 p&p. In view of this, the seller removed the item from his shop ! I can't blame him. But I kicked myself in the back of my head for missing this opportunity. I can't believe that everybody missed it! Most of the times buyers go nuts for 7s. The seller had 100% feedback, 2064 sales, it wasn't a Limited Edition one either, in near mint condition,...all legit it seemed.

Hmmm. That really would have been a bargain.

I paid around £250 altogether for my 7 and grip about 2 years ago. I have used it a little, and it's fascinating in comparison with my Eos 3 body, and my Canon DSLRs. As time goes on I'm glad I did buy the (non-working) 7000 body so that I could get my hands on the 50 f1.7 mounted on it! I had the 7000 repaired and the 50 f1.7 is a good lens. But, where are the other Minolta prime lenses? Hens' teeth are now commoner.

I know where there's a Dynax 9 on offer, but I'm not interested. Far too expensive, for earlier technology.

I am in need of a new 28mm f2.8. Mine has some nasty marks in the front element cause by my stupidity. It also fell the other day, but being built like a tank, nothing came of it apart from breaking the tiny red plastic sphere that is the mount indicator dot.

But everytime I think back to that Dynax 7 I kick myself I didn't start bidding...
