I was trying to keep it simple really. Would like to expand on a website but just don't know where to start

It is a nice clean, uncluttered site but as said above it is difficult to give any constructive advice since it is based on someone elses template.
If you want to create your own site from scratch then purists will tell you to learn html - but a much easier way is to get hold of a wyswyg web authoring package (such as Dreamweaver) and start that way. You will eventually learn html by association. To start with you could use one of the various free web-hosting packages (you may get some free web space with your isp) but ideally you need your own web space with your own url. Hostpapa do a good job for me but there are many more. Good luck.

    Hi James,

I don't know <u>squat</u> about the technicalities of websites (or how they work) but I
found it easy to get around w/ great pics About the only thing I didn't like is that
when I was looking (for example) at your action pics that when I click the "back" thingy
on my computer it takes me back to the home page rather than the grouping of Action
    photos.

    Cheers,

    Jack

Your fonts (typestyles) look a bit old style and the type is too big for my liking. I suggest you use a smaller font size and go for something like tahoma,or verdana.

Find a website that you like and use a similar style font and size.

    Good pics though!

What I like about your site is the way the photos are all mostly on the same theme. It stops it from becoming a mess.

I like the photos - not 100% about the site [but that just may be me].
Personally ['cos I like B+W myself] some of your photos would look absolutely great in greyscale [again a personal preference].
    cheers
