Need Your help With 7D Maxxum Flash

The flash of my Konica Minolta 7D Maxxum stopped working. Please advise what should I check first. Thank you.

Is that the internal flash? If it is, there is not other way than sending it for repair, there is two repairers in the UK, if you are UK based, That's The Camera Repair Workshop in Milton Keynes and Johnson's Photopia. I also think that Sony may help in that case. If it's the hotshoe, then it can also be that the base of your Flashgun as come a bit worn and loose (it happened with mine, don't ask me how!), so I had to twist the flash a tiny fraction when I mounted it. Or you may have a broken hotshoe which in that case, refer to the above.
