Nice set, always amazes me how the sky can have so many faces and moods, they really can make or break a landscape,or can work by themselves as here.

Awww thank you Stevie.
The reasons for these images are simple,
1) the landscape of the fens is quite featureless, and the flat horizons here mean we have the biggest skies in the UK.
2) I believe the sky to be photogenic enough in its own right without the need for distrsactions or (in my opinion) boring silhouettes.
3) The sky is a copnstantly evolving work of art. No two sunsets/rises are the same. With this in mind i have tried to capture them as faithfully as possible without boosting colours/saturation, with the exeption of pulling the levels closer.
4) Most of the images were taken from my bedroom window, or just a few yards down the road, meaning i dont have to travel anymore for awe inspiring (i hope) images.
And finally,
5) I adore the colours, the warm natural tones infused with the twilight sky behind are a work of art. Natural abstracts.
I guess the images say a lot about me personally, but im not going to go all deep and meaningful about it right now. Getting very excited about the winter sunsets now as i believe they offer far more visually. I will do the more classical sunset images again one day but for now im concentrating on this genre with a view to having a real exhibition one day, well i can dream cant i
Thanks to everyone for looking so far, and thanks Stevie for your kind words.

Impressive set-some verging on abstract. I agree Winter sunsets are often very good-plus you don't have to stay out so late to see them! Certainly the ever-changing sky is fascinating to me.
Well, being originally from Essex, which has nearly as big skies, I'm a little blase (bother, where do I find that accent?) about one or two of them which I think are "just" nice, but you have some absolute stunners in there! Hurrah for big sky country!
