    More Jono Slack M9 pictures

Taken in Crete, these are in the photographer's words, "holiday snapshots, but with intent".

They look nice enough for what they are.

It seems to start off at -0.7EV comp and then go to -1. Does this look a -1EV comp pic to you? I'm thinking photoslop has been used to make these pics presentable....either that or the metering is outstanding but a stop over! (of course the EXIF could be wrong....but something doesn't seem right anyway)

Yes, but if you had read the introduction instead of concentrating on the smart-arse comment you wanted to make, you will have understood he had an early pre-release camera which needed adjustment. Fact remains the M9 is the world's smallest FF camera which, combined with Leica glass, comprehensively blows most other 35mm cameras away - and I say that both as an M9 and a D3/D3x owner.

Even allowing for that there were a wide range of scenes with exactly the same exposure compensation that I would not have expected. I picked one that would likely have been easy to rescue from shadows.

I clicked the link to see what the camera was like and I see evidence of sloppy technique instead of a convincing demonstration of it's capabilites

    ...concentrating on the smart-arse comment...
I'll have you know I take offence at being accused of concentrating

And just FTR I'm sure it is an impressive achievement and it's about time M users got a full frame digital. I don't particularly like APS-C for anything other than macro so I imagine Leica M users weren't particularly keen on it for anything. I may not want one but I really do hope it is an excellent tool for those that do.

I thought Mr Slack's holiday snaps were really nice and much better than the ones I took recently on Alonnisos with my Ricoh GX100 but after concentrating on the absolute difference I don't think it would be worth my while to spend £12k for an M9 and three nice lenses because I don't think I could really do it justice.
