Barn Owls

A similar query to my deer question (I never did find any deer close enouugh to photo), but this time my target are barn owls.

I live near chew valley lake, qhich in turn is near bath and bristol, to give you an idea of where I am. i'D love to find a barn owl(s), but I have never seen any evidence of them (granted my search has only been a couple of days old). If anybody has any idea about the best place to find them, or even better, a known local nesting place, I would be deeply grateful.

I appreciate that this is quite a niche question, but thanks anyway!

Do remember that they are schedule 1 species and a licence is needed if you are near the nest.....

Wildlife photography can be frustrating a times, why not try the Barn Owl Centre in Gloucester who organise special photography days and encourage the more natural shots as well as education about the species and many others.
