All my mono chemicals together cost about that - and that's enough for about 20 rolls... If you want to use film a lot it really does work out cheaper to a) develop it at home, and b) scan it yourself.

and equipment is a minimum and besides it's a helluva lot more fun!![]()

I am sure this was about £8 only 2 months ago, and that included the highest quality scan to cd!
I woudn't consider paying for D+P for mono as it is so cheap and easy to do yourself! Jessops do seem to be cranking their prices up steadily-an earlier thread described their jump in film prices.
I second that but in the short term use Ilford Post Paid which is cheaper than Jessops and also Jessops print B&W on colour paper in Fuji processors which means you get colour bleed^^whs^^

is ilford post paid available from shops or is it a direct only service?

It's such a nice day to be Eatin' Trifles..........
Incredible. I would endorse the previous posters who recommend developing B&W yourself, it's fun, not difficult, and very inexpensive. Scanning is another matter however.
I am pretty sure that I paid Jessops less than £10 to have a roll of 35mm Ektar developed and scanned earlier this year, and that included a couple of quid for a higher res scan. It was cheap enough but the scans were not up to much. I wonder if they made a mistake with your price?
