I love seeing ads from yesteryear, not just photo ads.
I wonder, was the liquorice roll-up optional or compulsory?

Yep, I love the total lack of fashion sense (now you can only feature in a camera ad if you are young trendy and tick the demographic boxes) and the non-PC image of the photographer. I also love that there's no illusion about the size of the thing, it is the product speaking, pure and simple.
I've no idea which agency made it, but I wish they'd bring back that style of ad. Somewhere I've a box of Nat Geos going back to late 70s and early 80s - there were some corkers in those mags.![]()
