    SLIDESHOW SOFTWARE WANTED!

Can anyone recommend a "free to download"/"trial" slideshow software?

Not something I do very often, but I need to do a "one off" slide show.

    Thanks

You'll probably find that 'trial' versions will all have watermarks/logos on the outputted results

Several choices spring immediately to mind. Firstly (assuming your a windows user) there is Photo Story 3 from Microsoft, download from HERE

Alternatively some free website gallery software produces stand alone websites you can use a slideshow function from, the one I'm thinking of is JAlbumm download is HERE and a good addon would be the BananaAlbum skin download from HERE as it has a gallery slide show function that works really well...

Do you have PowerPoint (part of Microsoft Office). That works reasonably well for simple shows but I've never tried to add a soundtrack so don't know about that.

FastStone no photographer should be without it. Does many image related tasks and is complete and free for home use.

Alternatively, Windows Movie Maker is capable of producing basic slideshows with muzak. And it's free, assuming one uses a Widows endowed PC.

I've had FastStone viewer for ages, quite the best I agree) but never realised that it did executable slideshows. I just did one and I'm most impressed.

I use PicturesToExe but I'm pretty sure it will put watermarks on the trial version.
