    Goodwood Festival of Speed

I went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed today - first real test for my Nikon D60. The pictures are excellent, but I found the 18-55mm a little short at times. Can anyone recommend a longer Nikkor zoom which will AF with the D60?

Assuming that the big guns are way out of budget then I would suggest the 70-300 VR (an example of which I use, own, and highly recommend). If money is even tighter then the 55-200 VR. These lenses are not fast, however with half competent panning they can make good sharp images of moving vehicles with a nicely blurred background to give the impression of speed.
