even though I have it on video, it'd be good to have it on dvd for holidays /travel etc, to the point that I'll probably buy it once I've not won one
[about 15.99 online, quidco etc excluded]

Just need to work my through the book

Nights were a real drag, thankfully work's on 2 shifts now [day/back] so more time to do things... If only photography were higher up the pecking order ;-)

This is sad. You should go out and take piccies when on holiday.

Sorry should have expanded on that, I convert the paid for dvd to my organiser, so I can watch it while on the bus/train to the destination. Still, yeah, ought to get the camera out more than my Palm

Can you recommend software for that? My son's walkman plays videos, and I wanted to burn some of his dvd's to put on it. I was looking at something like Nero 8, but unsure if that would be the best choice.

    Thanks

Don't know about the sony, but I use dvd catalyst free edition, which does it better than version 2 which I bought a long while back and was looking to buy the new version.

Looks like they've changed hands, but the website's: http://a3vs.com/

[takes an absolute age if you try to convert straight from dvd to organiser, so I dvd decrypter the dvd to hard drive, then dvd catalyst that folder on the hard drive [after taking the finished dvd out of the drive, or catalyst wants to do the dvd first]]

EDIT: Looks like the new owner/website's playing up, so try a previous free version from download.com

Looks like the walkman's not in the list of compatible devices, but if you download dvd catalyst [trial] it lets you pick the output type of the file, but to be honest your best bet might be googling, as it looks like some mp4s are supported by the walkman, but not all...
