    Famous Faces

Now this is gonna sound silly BUT if i take a picture of a famous person and then choose to display this picture on my website for public viewing do i need permission to do so and also do i need them to then sign a release for the photo taken also if i am contacted by someone who wishes to buy said image do i then need there permission to sell the image

Were you on private property when you took the photograph? This may have an impact on whether you have a right to sell it or not, for example photographs taken on National Trust land.

As long as you don't make it appear that the person is endorsing your site or products, you are free to sell.
