    Sunset over Loch Lomond

    Hello,

Although this picture could be any Loch really but we camped at Rowardennan for the past couple of nights and were lucky enough to get fantastic weather for the majority of the time. The last time I was at Loch Lomond was about 15 years ago and forgot how beautiful it is.

Midges, midges, midges and alot more midges were a real problem and almost spoiled our time there. Ben Lomond was a nice mountain to climb though, its about 10 metres higher than Sca Fell but alot more enjoyable. It would have been nice to get Ben Lomond in the picture but the sun insists on setting in the west so wasnt possible!

Any comments on this would be welcome, I had to photoshop the foreground to bring it out of almost blackness...

Top tip....take a boat to the west side of the Loch and get Ben Lomond in the sunrise! Its years since I've been up Ben Lomond but I dont remember it being anything special...all of the views looked bland.....just like cloud! Most people say(not that I've asked them!) that the wee mound behind Balmaha, Conic Hill gives the best view of the loch...

Lovely colours and great view Not too sure about the black things in the water though...rocks? (or nessies? )

    cracking shot.

I'd crop the shingle stuff out tho, little distracting but the rest really is amazing!

Excellent photo. I was there about 10 years ago camping but never saw a sunset like this!
