Finding Duplicate Files

I'm trying to do a bit of a cleanup. Is there a way in Photoshop to search out duplicate files? That is the same file but renamed e.g. IMG.001 and holiday.001 for example.

I've found some software that claims to do it (link below). Has anyone used it, or perhaps something else. Thank you.

Nope. Photoshop isn't a file management tool.

I remember using a Duplicate File Finder years ago in my DOS days, and I trusted it. (Life was simpler then!) I tried one more recently, was gobsmacked by the huge number found, bottled out(!) and I decided to buy more storage!

Sorry Fen. I should have said Photoshop Elements. That has got file management and cataloging.

I've had a few duplicates finders for Windows in the past. Your best place to look for good freebies is still download.com(CNET).
