It's 8.45ish and it's not quite overcast outside, slight trace of blue in the sky, and not a breath of wind.
What's your weather like, and do you expect it to be good for photos? I'm still waiting for things to challenge my macro lens! Perhaps I'll have to try my skills at getting all of a passion flower in focus!

Morningnearly 9 here not much blue sky but very very hot! am sure it will clear and the blue skys will appear, im hoping its much the same tomorrow as its my day off ....
ive 2 beasties under glasses in the kitchen waiting to be photographed ...

The sun is now shining, and the temperature's rising... Let's hope for some good subjects.
The local bird reserve has a lagoon area which is supposed to encourage dragon and damsel flies, and in previous years, it's been pretty good, but I'm still waiting this year.
Lots of passion flower buds, but all closed at the moment.

Someone not too far away got mentioned in the Birthday Honours so a major 'do' is planned this weekend. SWMBO is keeping a tight rein on preparations, the garden must be looking perfect and every blade of grass combed. Visitors are expected from t'north and I'm generally 'grounded'.Still it's (probably) a once in a lifetime event.

Got up to about 28C here, and 40C in the hangar where my band was practising this evening.
40degC - now that's not nice!
Highest I've been in was 36degC by Lake Garda a few years ago.
My shaded external thermometer recorded 30.4degC at its max earlier today, and it's now 27.6.
And I feel as though I'm dissolving away. Must be all this liquid I'm taking on!
What has surprised me is the total lack of wind in the morning, and just a slight movement later on.

I've got the week off and it's been a complete waste of time as I've been wiped out with the heat.
I'm planning to do Goodwood Festival of Speed on Friday. One forecast says continuing heatwave and the other says rain. HORLICKS

Surprisingly both todays 747s had acceptably low internal temperatures despite the complete lack of airconditioning and having been on the ground for several hours in each case. It is quite normal for a 747 upper deck to get (un)comfortably over 40C on a sunny day, it doesn't need to be 30 outside.
It was actually more unpleasant in the lounge at home at a mere 28C.
That brings back memories of the Tristar from Jeddah to Khamis. They wouldn't start the APU and we stewed.

Wouldn't or couldn't? I seem to remember Tristar APUs being less than sparklingly reliable.That brings back memories of the Tristar from Jeddah to Khamis. They wouldn't start the APU and we stewed.
