Does it get really hot in the rooms in the roof ....
only im moving to a thatched cottage ( fingers crossed) and my bedroom covers the whole upstairs and thinking there'll be more beasties to

Hi Trudy, no the whole house is always cool. The walls are 4 feet thick and the thatch insulates from the sun. It's hard to keep the place warm in the winter, it really needs a roaring fire all day but going out to work prevents that. You do gets loads of critters living in it, not to everyone's satisfaction, but we're often woken by scurrying and scratching in the roof.Does it get really hot in the rooms in the roof ....
