The opposite of cemented is uncemented/cementless. For cementless the surface of the implant in contact with the bone will be porous to allow bone to grow into the implant. They will often be a hydroxyapitite coating to aid bone growth.Glad that all went well. Do you know if you got the cemented hip or the other sort (forgotten the name)
Now, the question is, was a total hip replacement, or a hip resurfacing ?
